Overview

Completed summer 2026, this hand-painted arcade cabinet was commissioned by a private collector.

The work is about 6’x3’x3’. This is a vintage arcade cabinet and had been well worn from its many years of use. I cleaned and refinished the cabinet, then created an archival surface for the final design, which was hand-painted with Novacolor acrylics then sealed with lightfast varnish.

This design features a dozen portraits, many of which are of real musicians from many genres. Masayoshi Takanaka and Gost are among my favorites. As a lifelong lover of music and rhythm games, it was a very gratifying project to work on.
